this inspired me to drag out the whole stack of ferox stuff ... and something i hadn't listened to in a while, russ gabriel's "out of the unknown".

Bloody hell that Loco Dice BBC Essential Mix from 2005 is an absolute stormer. I didn't realise that boy could play so hard. Banging techno (in the best possible sense) with little minimal in sight.

<3 arctic records ... "cream of trip hop" (esp vols 3 and 4) and "cream of ambient visions" were *huge* for me

those "cream of underground house" comps are an amazing mix of time-capsule type early 90s tribal and ibiza house nuttiness and all-time tracks like "de niro", "positive education", "babyloop", etc ... vols 2,3 and 7 particularly killer

i would say it's on the low-end of dorado releases. the high-end being a.p.e.'s "striplight", sunship, maybe cool breeze. the middle-end being "criminal justice". the low-end being jhelisa, BFE, etc. i think i have a pretty high tolerances for this sort of stuff and i'm not too enthused on it.

at a record store. Netto (or Netto Houz): "Fan Of The Underground" on Ladomat from 1996. A beautiful record. Completely overlooked by my when it originally came out. Like a very german kid of Nu Groove and Non-Jazz-Prescription. Really great. Especially track A1 and B1. Anybody heard this?
