My sister was just diagnosed with the same situation last week and even though the tumor is benign it still has rattled our family, and I hope that you have immediate loved ones to get you through this. I wish you the best in your recovery, positive thoughts all round!

Hey everyone, Tim's sister just contacted me and they've already heard from the surgeon. Apparently the tumour is benign and although they were still operating at the time she emailed me, the tumour has been encapsulated and hasn't spread at all.

I've been in touch with Tim's sister a bit over the last couple of months and she's promised to keep me updated - because of where the tumour is Tim will have very limited use of his neck etc over the coming weeks, so he's unlikely to be at a computer for a while. Although he's not out of the woods just yet, the initial news is good. Tim's family has been following his lead and being very positive - will let you all know as and when I hear anything further.

The family is popping the champagne right now, so keeping everything crossed.

Huzzah for the good news! Get well soon, Tim. Like lots of folks have already said, I don't follow dance too closely, but I find your posts to be precious guideposts. I look forward to your speedy recovery and return!
