Stereogum has been Buzznet's flagship for a while, but I'm very sad that its status is now justified.

(although, in the beginning when Stereogum was just Scott Lapatine posting whatever he wanted to, it was a great blog.)

This seems very sudden; Maura was even on NPR on Sunday talking about American Idol and was introduced as the editor of Idolator.com.

I guess now guys can stop complaining when their girlfriends get bitchy once a month in the hopes that they turn into Rihanna.

Yeah, nothing warms my heart like a good PMS joke.

Especially if it brings in boyfriends' reactions to PMS, amirite?

I'm kind of hoping that what's happening here is a real-life recreation of the Mad Men finale. I find some comfort in believing that Maura and Whiney and a couple others are holed up in a hotel room somewhere plotting something big while Becky and Robbie were scraped from the bottom of the McCann barrel to keep Idolator functioning simply because Buzznet has the rights to the name.

That would be amazing.

Thierry pointed out something that smacks of truth. It seems like Robbie and Becky never even read Idolator to begin with, and now they're writing for it.

I checked the blog links in the Chart Rigger sidebar and, nope, there's no link to Idolator at all.
