No, never heard of them. But I haven't owned a radio nor a TV for most of this decade, so clubbing and ILX and friends have been pretty much the only sources for learning about new pop music.

based on that i am now listening to say anything songs on their website, and cursing the day that god invented ears, music, recording, rock bands, the internet, and streaming audio

honestly i love my rock music and all...but at this point let's just shut it down. the operation has been compromised.

I mean, it's kind of like how can you possibly be a normal, functioning human being who is well-adjusted and normalized into modern society, then turn around and say something like "Say Anything is amazing"? Aren't you basically half a step away from throwing co-eds into Jigsaw traps at that point?

people overuse 'amazing' and 'awesome' all the time... in the 21st-century lexicon they often mean little more than 'mildly pleasing'.

I think the Say Anything song "Alive With the Glory with Love" is amazing (not using the word hyperbolically). None of their other songs have made quite the impact. I like the band, tho. I enjoyed Two Tongues, and I'm looking forward to the new album.

Say Anything are a very good band and their first album is one of the best of the decade imo. don't see anything popist or koganed out about holding that opinion, since they're pretty middle tier as far as major label emo bands go.
