That Design They Skyline track am0n posted needs more discussion - it's almost like some sort of Extreme Animals track in parts; I have no idea how they'd uh compose a track like that!

yeah I was gonna say, this shit is crazy!! not that I am the most knowledgeable person in the world about crabcore genre conventions but uh they seem to be all over the place with this one

I feel like these songs are born out of jam sessions where two dudes at a time take turns playing a wicked breakdown from a song they both know, and the rest of the band starts crabbing along if they're into it, and then eventually the best sequences of breakdowns are made into new songs — also, every once in a while the keyboard player gets fed up because he has trouble following along by ear and nobody ever writes things down or tells him the chords they're gonna play or w/e, so he picks out a rhythm present from the "TRANCE" bank and plays it at full blast for a couple measures

hm, I dunno, I feel like something has to actually be legit to break through into historical relevance like that, and... I mean there's this attitude right now that this post-Emo/Scene thing is just something older generations couldn't understand, but from what I've seen there are smarter, less shitty kids of this same generation off making witchhouse/seapunk/icepunk/etc... and these metalcore/Scene kids are their generation's shitty equivalent of, say, Good Charlote or whatever
