was O_O to see whiney, may he rest in peace, some love, esp because he seemed to describe the ne-yo album as "mutant" which is about as wrong a word as possible imo. the kells review on amg saying it was slightly worse than the last mario joint was more sobering.

just had a heart attack that keller said this about an album that's 25% Tricky/Los

haha welllll i was only a few songs in at the time but that Los beat wasn't much and the trickys seemed sort of anonymous. "don't walk away" was pretty good though

to an extent i'm probably letting mario's boringness color my impression of the whole

well 2 of the first 3 tracks are "Break Up" and that Jim Jonsin piece of shit so yeah i can see that. Go! was definitely a better album but this has its moments.

still really loving "Thinkin' About You" and wanting it to be a huge hit.

what a surprise, this amerie alb sounds painfully average. 'pretty brown' kinda almost has some of the oafish 80s-mashed enchantment i attributed to the 'why r u' remix here rolling pop in 2009 thread , but not even.

imo "I Get It In" is awesome and "I Can Transform Ya" is a turd

this has been kind of an off year for entertainingly awful R&B album titles but we have a real winner here
