What else do you need in one song?

"Hold The Line", easy. For a soft-rock song it's camp as tits. "I Won't Hold You Back" is no longer necessary thanks to Roger Sanchez, though I'd still say it's second.

"Africa" - good italo version by Key Of Dreams, good edit of same by Rune Lindbaek, and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl6s2Q9BNO4";>MIMS vs Toto</a> is a guaranteed floorfiller. Saw the lead singer of Erase Errata belt it out at karaoke once, too.

I do have a problem seeing Donkeyboy as particularly Toto-like, actually. They are more like 80s Fleetwood Mac with touches of Duran Duran and Jon Anderson on vocals.

I've been really really into "Rosanna" and "Waiting For Your Love" lately, what other songs and/or albums/collections should I check out based on my loving those songs?

well toto iv obviously. i think theres a two disc 'essentials' collection which is pretty good. their sound is pretty consistent, tbh, and from toto to toto iv you cant really go wrong. i dont know isolation or farenheit that well but they sound p good to my ears. my fave album is 'hydra'.

I Won't Hold You Back didn't get any votes in that poll? At all? It's one of my favorite Toto singles and it was featured briefly in an American Dad episode. It's a perfectly cheesy 1980s power ballad.

I always thought that was their weird way of referencing the Dune work -- that album and single came out around the same time as the movie did, Brad Dourif's in the film as well, etc.

for a long time i used to sing "kilimanjaro rises like a lepress" without once thinking that this made no sense or even realizing that the word i was searching for was "leopardess." a quick google search has revealed that i'm not the only who had this problem.

I know he entered after their “classic” period, but he is the one with the best vocals imho.

His vocals also seem to hace actually gotten better with age which is usually the other way around.

Whereas Kimball's rough living destroyed his to the point where the last time he toured with Toto, they piped in the CD during the chorus of Africa

Inspired to ask because Kimball is so over the top, it cracks me up every time when he gets going with his “oohs” etc

He was so nimble in his prime, hate that he basically can't sing anymore
