How could anybody hate Rob Lowe?

He is pretty and...harmless. There was nothing really grating or annoying about him the way there was about Judd Nelson (or Andrew McCarthy for that matter, who had that weird starey eye vibe going on). So what gives? How can anyone playa-hate on such a fantastic mullet as this one:

um wasnt there some 'thing' about him with an underage girl? violence etc etc i can barely remember but i do recall something bad enough for him to fall out of favour in a big way at the time.
he stayed at a place my auntie and uncle used to run in nz, a kind of 'hideaway for rich n famous' and when they told me i think i was expected to swoon or something......i didnt. he's a bit passe now i think, thats the problem maybe. no one under 35 knows who he is.

Yeah, I couldn't get more than five minutes into it, what with the music and the editing and the hairdos and all, whereas in tenth grade it showed me exactly what I wanted my twenties to be.

Also loved Bad Influence back then. I see it's streaming, but maybe I should just keep it in my memory.
