i buy a lot of edibles. well, i take some every night. the last frontier! no drinking. no smoking. no nothing! i even gave up on sugar! i'm just a dirty quitter. no more meds. (not encouraging anyone to go off their meds. it was just enough for me after 4 years of too many pills. and it took me quite lit-er-ally 4 years to get over the existential dread and depression of not smoking. cigarettes were my all-in-one medicine. stimulant! depressant! anxiety fighter! champion of truth! all i know is this. there was a worldwide plague AND my mom died AND my father moved in with me and i haven't started smoking cigarettes again. incredibleness!

now i mostly go for sativa edibles. there are more good ones now. the hybrids and indica edibles can make me too down. and make me reflect on failure and mistakes. sativa doesn't do that. though sometimes in a pinch i will go for hybrids if they are sativa-dominant.

i tried to smoke a joint last week just to be a big shot on my big front porch. you know, sitting on the couch on the porch smokin' like the old days. god it was vile. ugh. i can still taste it. i felt like i was 12. got really stoned but i'll stick with my nighttime gummy regimen. gummies, exercise, reading, and tons of hulu. keeps me moving forward a bit. settles my naturally unsettled nature. (unfortunately, most of the sugar i do eat now is in my gummies! and the fruit i eat.)

I got edibles from a friend. took one today, put down the wrong race on an application online shortly after.

but it's made for a fun Friday at work.

I don't live in a legal state but I can still get D9 THC so long as it's less than 0.3%, though I'm not sure what that means exactly. they're not as strong as dispensary edibles but all that means is you have to up the dosage. feels the same - the only issue if you often don't know if it's indica or sativa. lately they've been selling a THC drink which is pretty awesome. I mixed it with a can of Red Bull, a shot of rum, and some soda...I don't think you're supposed to do this but I felt amazing the whole night. had 2 more drinks and woke up feeling fine.

I agree with ya though - Js, bong rips, even a good ol' fashioned bowl in a glass pipe, it all feels like something I'm fine leaving in the past. I was told I'd get used to it and the coughing fits would stop but I just never smoked that much. that said I got a portable vape and I think that's great, you pack a decent bowl and set it to a lower temperature and you'll feel smoother than a room of Rob Thomases. no coughing, dare I say it's actually kind of pleasant?

I guess I prefer edibles as a whole, but I do think mixing it up might actually keep your tolerance low. at least it has for me. one thing I like about smoking is if you get too high it usually passes in 5-10 minutes. edibles on the other hand can be a real wild ride.

i take about...35 or 40 mg of thc at night. the edibles i get are usually always 5mg each. so i gobble 6 or 8 of them. i feel fine like that. not out of it. i can walk and talk. make dinner. i only do them at night. i don't drive on them. sometimes i will buy something that i've never had and they are just stronger. i had some resin gummies last night. pretty strong. i didn't follow all of the episodes of Chopped that I was watching but i did manage to read my book. and sometimes i will just take them on an empty stomach and that makes me way more stoned. so, i usually eat first.

Whereas I have to slice my 5 mg edibles into quarters, and closely monitor my status after each 1.25 mg before chowing down another, or I get absolutely blasted. I tried an entire 5 mg during an episode of Succession, and <<<<<wowowowow>>>>>, I thought Mattson, Kendall, and Roman were all going to jump off of that high-as-hell platform into a sequence edited by 1973-era George Clinton. The bike ride home from my friend's place reminded me of when I placed an ice cube on the part of the cord where the controller connected to an old-as-all-get-out Atari 2600, and that horrific failure of 'PAC-MAN" started changing colors.

edible tolerance is all over the place. I know some people who smoke a lot and get completely zotted with 2.5mg, I know others who take months off and still need 100mg to feel it at all. and apparently they just don't work at all on some people. I think there's something genetic with how you metabolize it. anyway for those who take 'em every night, do you feel your tolerance going up?? personally it's kinda hard to tell, each product I get is different, and as soon as I find the one where I can go "yes, this is exactly the right dose" the store will stop selling it a month later :)

my tolerance fluctuates a little bit but not much. also the same gummy can hit harder or softer - i don't know how much of that comes down to body chemistry vs slight variances in dosage. i bought a bunch of different flavors of these 'wyld' gummies in colorado. most of them are sativa or sativa dominant. it's a little hard to describe but each flavor has very different emphases. they almost feel like different drugs in a way. i've also had a sativa flavor of the caminos, can't remember which one, they were good iirc. i've never had a bad edible though some aren't as much to my liking. the raspberry flavor of these wyld gummies really bring my emotions up front which isn't always ideal. the cheeba chews i've had felt 'basic' in that they were just a balloon high and not much else. my fav so far are the sour cherry wylds. they tend to help me feel this pretty subtle joyful feeling, some kind of echo from the past (sorry getting a little impressionistic here). others: 'colorado sunrise' flavored wana gummies - cheerful and chatty. canyon edible strawberry lemonade candies - just a nice expansive euphoria. i wonder about how many of these makers are national operations at this point. the quality is definitely impressive all around. we live in a golden age of edibles.

my tolerance has definitely gone up. if i were thrifty i would take a week off and then i wouldn't need as much. i feel like smoking pot gets me way more high. it's a different feeling. but if i smoke i feel out of it and its hard for me to talk. with edibles i feel more normal.

tonight at the pot store the weed clerk said he can't take edibles. they don't do anything to him! he says it has something to do with his body not processing it or something. i'd never heard that.

the caminos are made well. they feel fresh. there are people who really know what they are doing. sativa edibles can be pretty speedy sometimes. which i like. and i have no problem sleeping after taking them. but some people obviously want more of a down vibe. downward dog weed.

My brother took 100mg once, I don't think he will repeat the experience.

i think things like this are the future. they are VERY well made. like, drug company well made. and each with their own hook. nice minimal design. no dancing bears with dreadlocks.

you know I never really believed that there was a big difference between this edible and that one but then I got some awesome shit from Boston that totally Frenched my toast, wasn't too high a dose it was just a totally different high that made me wanna party. they were so good I took some home in a Twizzlers bag. they got mighty stale but still worked.

if you ever see something labeled "THCP" at your local shop I highly recommend you do not try it, made me feel like I had brain damage for 3 days straight. wildly irresponsible for them to sell this stuff alongside everything else without even a little warning on the package. dont even know if I've come down yet lmao

the lady at the shop warned me it was more potent but she said "3 times" which would've put this at 25mg total (10 mg D9 + 5 mg THCp), that's a lot for me but I can handle it. turns out the real number is "33 times", guess that explains it

I've been doing gummies a little recently just cos guy I buy weed off has them. I can't make up my mind if this is the best shit ever (relatively cheap, an upper, lasts for ages, friends all enjoying it etc) or some new vice to be slightly careful with. I guess cos idk, a joint is a joint and there's conditioning there in terms of how I consume it.

The gummy effects are mad potent tho, and they can be a really fun and involve friends who don't smoke etc.

I am pro-edibles in general ftr, the concentrated oils are more dicey

I'm 100% edibles only. Mostly Full Spectrum Hash Oil, which I just squirt on a rice chex and eat straight. Other than that, it is usually 50-100mg gummies for a dose. Can't do any smoking/vaping.

ya that's why this THCP stuff is so dangerous, it's not really clear what it is and nothing on the package warns you. I think that's fine for THC-A or D8 or HHC or anything that's about the same or weaker potency wise but this is unlike anything I've ever had in an edible. people are gonna send themselves to the hospital with this stuff

are you serious that you are taking 100mg gummies? I have a very high tolerance and even i would not do that. I took a 50mg capsule thing once and felt like i was going to die.

I was talking THC-A gummies. I'm not taking this other stuff for the most part (I had half a delta-9 seltzer at a brewery in Duluth).
