I wonder if context plays a large part in making hotel things seem as luxurious as they do. I feel like you could get a comparable robe from Target or Kohl's that's just as soft but might not *seem* as luxurious existing in a dept store.

bedsheets i got a great set from your run of the mill marshall's
I need to check out Marshall's; people keep telling me they get great deals there. It's so hard to find solid black sheets, though!

Marshall's and TJ Maxx, but yes, black sheets are not a common thing. Also try overstock.com though tbh, and maybe smartbargains.com, which is where I got all my down pillows & stuff years ago.
