Assuming you choose a tome other than a Bible, what book would you solemnly swear upon for reals? What work would be/is so central to your life that you could be expected to swear upon it to give honest responses?

For me, probably a stack of Vonnegut.

Or _Dune_.

Answers can include both non-fiction and fiction, btw.
