I've only been to the Baltic states, liked Latvia best of those. Nice people.

Would love to go to Ukraine, though.

Interesting to see this poll is not recognising the sovereignty of Transdniestria.

Ukraine's pretty awesome. Tempted to go for the plucky underdog (Moldova), but my heart belongs in Kyiv.

xp, almost went to Transdneistria once, thought better of it. It's fascinating though - practically everything's controlled by the same company.

i say Estonia b/c i have awesome Estonian friends and the place is wonderful.

Ukraine is great, I'd love to go back. Just had a total duh moment where I thought Ukraine, but voted Estonia. I loved Estonia but it's no Ukraine.

Georgian food is really good, way more interesting than your standard spuds, meat and cream.

there are a couple of great georgian restaurants in london.

i've never been to any of these, would dearly love to go to all of them. the central asian ones are fascinating. well they're all fascinatingly crazy really.

Lex, are you talking about Tblisi near Highbury Corner? I haven't been but keep meaning to. The one time I had Georgian food was in Poland, oddly.

I love Mother Russia, as an American I feel I might scare the other countries if I visited them.
