time to find a new seat. seriously, how did they always have the same seats!
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 14 June 2012 18:41 (eleven years ago) link
It's not uncommon on commuter trains. If you always make the same train, and tend to sit in the same car because it's close to your entrance or where you want to exit, you start to see the same people quite a bit. He'll probably just take a different time train from now on!

Oh no, what if the other guy has the same idea and they STILL wind up on the same train?

yeah seems to me its purported creepiness is more an extension of it being forced on people involuntarily and, perhaps earlier on, due to its crudity as a method

This last episode was pretty much perfection, I think. Far surpassed any film I've seen in the last... 3 years or so. Just... really great.

watched this again last night - my opinion of Megan's mother is unchanged. when she comes in to find Megan in bed she's the one who starts going on about how the world can't fulfill all the dreams of little girls, that she's being lazy. Megan lashes back with the "is that what you tell yourself" comment but then her mom calls her "an ungrateful little bitch".
this is shitty parenting.

from the op: "The creator compromised slightly on issue of the show’s running time, agreeing to the show running two minutes shorter in all epiosdes (45 minutes) when on AMC except the fifth season’s premiere and finale (47) — with an option for Weiner to turn in 47-minute episodes for other platforms like VOD and DVD. The main cast is signed on for two more season and no more cuts are expected there."
Did this actually happen? Every episode (ads included) seemed to run longer than an hour this season.
― Johnny Fever, Sunday, 17 June 2012 04:58 (eleven years ago) link

I just watched season 5, all 13 episodes, in four days, for the first time. Saw the last four episodes last night. A lot of things still not letting me go, haunting and enticing me, and I think this was by far the best MM season.
Went to read all the comments here after every episode which has been a treat :-)
Bit melancholy there's no more now. Do we know when season 6 will be aired? Next year?

A college professor of mine had a 1968 XKE, and told me about how he once defiantly stormed out of a faculty meeting only for his Jag to hilariously not start. As soon as Lane connected the hose I thought, yep, not gonna start.Plus, didn't Roger have some line about how they never start in the previous episode?
Plus, didn't Roger have some line about how they never start in the previous episode?
My mom still has her '67 XKE she bought new and the electrical problems are indeed legendary. By the early 70s, the faults with the Lucas-built electrics were so bad that Lucas became better known as "The Prince Of Darkness" - striking down innocent cars without warning. Lucas Electrics jokes are everywhere among gearheads from the basic "Q. Why do the English drink warm beer? A. Because they have Lucas refrigerators." to complicated eBay auctions for Lucas magic smoke. There's a page of this stuff: http://www.mez.co.uk/lucas.html
