If Lazeology is a science, I'm an expert. Lazeology involves an
appreciation for the conditions in which personal non-activity can be
raised to a high art. Elements in perfecting one's lazeological
abilities include:
1) Procrasturbation -- as identified by a fellow researcher on these
boards, in which time theoretically to be spent on working at one's job
or on one's own personal projects is effectively replaced by go-nowhere
net searches or chats, among many other possible options.
2) Inertialism -- achieved via contemplation of the outside world
through a window (or if outside, looking all around one), while
reclining prone on a bed, a couch, the floor, comfortable grass, etc.
Sudden movements destroy inertialism and must be counteracted with
vigor.
3) Morning Rituals -- the art of Morning Rituals is especially valued.
In situations where one must arise forcibly to go to a place of
employment, the rituals are unfortunately abbreviated, but on weekends
and days off, these rituals can be turned into extended celebrations of
the larger practice. Waking up and then not moving for about an hour
is often seen as a good start.

You are not an expert, Ned, or you would have a major section on
