No work today -- what should I do?

I have no work to do today, because a job my agency was investigating fell through. I don't feel right going out, because I don't want to miss a call in case they come up with something for me for tomorrow. (Also, I don't want to spend money if I can help it.) My friends all have traditional 9-5 jobs and thus aren't available on weekdays. Any suggestions on how to spend these days at home?

Buy/rent a videogame machine.

Reread those words, Mr. Perry. ;-)

I would say catch up on reading and listening on the one hand, maybe check positions on-line on the other if you're so inclined...

Watch day time TV, start writing a blog or a novel...it's a shame it's not NANOWRIMO, listen to a CD you haven't listened to in a while, start reading that book you bought but never started, cook something nice for lunch...

It's a shame you have to stay in though! Get a mobile phone!

j lu is a DETECTIVE!!?!

Oh yes. When I'm on the job my senses are focused. All my brainpower goes into tracking down...misspellings and grammatic and typographic errors.

I'm actually a copyeditor.
