It would be nice to have some sort of sticky post where newcomers can find out about what all the ILX specific jargon / unwritten rules are.

Embedded tweets: hell yes.

embedded tweets would make, eg, the trump thread more readable, rather than people just posting links without a hint of the content which takes you away from the conversation.

tweets quite often = a photo, that's it, but downloading and rehosting is way too much trouble, and embedding would be much easier to deal with.

Automatically delete tweets and ban any user posting tweets or indeed tweeting

It makes sense with YouTube imho, since YouTube is a different type of content than ILX, but twitter is basically dumb ILX with no FP button

When the YouTube clip is no longer there (due to being taken down or whatever) it would be neat if there was a way to display the clip's title as text for reference and just 'video removed' or similar. Same for other lost media too I guess.

Have found myself wishing for "show tweet text in tooltip bubble on hovering over twitterlink" functionality, but also realise that a) ppl can attach like attachments and pics and stuff to tweets nowadays??? b) only really makes sense on actual computers and not so much on other devices, and c) in that case maybe I should just look into writing a greasemonkey script myself or something

a way to sort search results by the number of posts in each thread. i'm trying to bump the most frequently used grateful dead thread to talk about the new doc, but there's a million threads and in those cases it would be super useful to be able to just pick the one that has the most posts
