Roswell blows but it's close to my favorite spaces in the country. 2nd choice would be Eau Claire for that Midwestern hominess.

The median home price in Omaha has risen a bit since then—to $ 113,044—but that's still an affordable price for most Americans. Plus, you won't have to travel far to attend the Berkshire Hathaway shareholders' meeting, known as "Woodstock for capitalists."

I really hope I'm still 30 years away from answering this question.

yeah i mean retirement is definitely a joke for me right now and i doubt it won't ever stop being one, but the whole concept is so weird to me in the first place that i don't care one way or the other right now.. that list doesn't help either, pretty depressing. idk, pittsburgh or san antonio might be ok places to do nothing in.

Pittsburgh sounds ok. San Antonio is huge ring of shit surrounding a pile of shit.

tits akimbo (kenan), Wednesday, 1 April 2009 23:12 (fifteen years ago) link

why the hell would anyone want to retire to one of these places, is my question

i'm going to get a house in the middle of nowhere and just chill and read books

Beach on the Pacific side of Mexico.

But I say that now, and in 30 years I might say something totally different. Also, none of these places will make the list then.
