hanging out with brad nelson and tim finney and some others. they were playing a really great mix on big speakers. but 20 minutes in the speaker amp overheated and the music stopped. they were like 'yeah this happens all the time unfortunately'

i watched pretty little liars last night right before bed, then had nightmare that a male ilxor was pulling a total 'A' on me.

On route to an event with some former friends and the cast of OITNB. I look up the venue and it turns out that wins not only owns the place, but has pioneered an entire empire of them. We get there and it's like a giant wooden emporium filled with cocktail bars and adventure playgrounds. There are thousands of drunk people there and at some point a few of us are trying to get a cable car to meet wins and get him to change a couple of the rules as it is assumed he is overseeing everything from 'the box'.

A weird dream that took place in an alternate USA where the capital city was Boston and ENBB and DJP were senators. Also instead of the Statue of Liberty in NYC, the French had given Boston a statue of a giant dolphin.

Imago was away at a conference so I met wins and flopson at the station. We walked around some of the tourist sites of London, which included Euston Cemetery - 'over 600 acres of memorials and art'. We got some beer and sat in the cemetery talking, mostly about my script for a crime drama series starring Sarah Paulson which featured even more lines about her haircut than ACS. Flopson was wearing a raincoat with the hood up the entire time even though it was sunny. There was an extended sequence where wins got upset at one of the sculptures and we had to comfort him. We walked back to my apartment in the King's Cross grand hotel to wait for imago to get home. I was looking forward to surprising him with some of his ILX friends! But when he got home he came into the kitchen and just sat looking at the table for a very long time - angry. Then began the most terrifying argument I have ever heard between imago and flopson - just this neverending battle of expletive-filled attacks. I tried to make dinner awkwardly in the hope that it would get resolved while wins played N64 in the front room.

She still works at hair salon. Not easy to make living. Mom and dad supporting. But living the dream. Dream deserves to be lived. Don't defer dream. Dream deferred realization and too late to rectify would be sad time.

I dreamt I was in Australia visiting and Trayce and VG (who hasn't lived there for years?!) were supposed to show me around but I started getting mad because both of them just wanted to stay at the McDonald's we were in.

I had a dream about an ilxor/pitchfork writer. I can't remember who exactly it was, but if you're on here and write for pitchfork, presume it was you.

After I had finished fighting a lion underwater, a royal messenger came to me from King Trump, who had decided to award the ilxor a prize for their most recent book they had published. The prize was a whole bunch of cash money, including a 1 million dollar bill as well as some smaller denominations. I went to find the ilxor to deliver it to them, but in the meantime, they had gotten into a road rage confrontation with this asshole driver who hadn't acknowledged their right-of-way at a pedestrian crossing. And in between the time I had started looking for them and when I found them, they had written a huge screed about the incident and published it on pitchfork.com. They made me read the whole thing before I could deliver the message from King Trump and the prize money. The article had a detailed personal narrative, eyewitness accounts, and cell-phone footage. Reading through it, it became obvious that the asshole driver was Donald Trump, Jr. and we had a real problem on our hands.

Ally (is she still here here?) posted on Facebook something like "We're expecting our third! We've also finally decided to leave NY and are considering Cherry Halla Halla and Philly!" (by which she meant Cherry Hill, NJ). I got really stoked and started typing a response about the pros and cons and housing prices of different Philly neighborhoods but I didn't finish bcz I was interrupted by this woman who was apparently an Uber Eats deliverer and had a giant pizza for me that I never ordered, also suddenly my dad and stepmom were there and they were the ones who ordered the pizza, then I guess my computer disappeared and we all went on some sort of hike.

While attending a parent teacher meeting in an unspecified capacity Bruce willis in his character from the jackal turns up and starts taking out parents one by one.

Joanie loves chachi turns up to investigate and our leads take us on a road trip to killybegs in a Nissan Micra.

En route we stop at a convenience store in dunkineely. I bodytackle two youths attempting to shoplift bread and he chides me all Jesus like and buys them both beer and plays an impromptu game of jenga. Upon our return to the Micra I stiffly inform him that I don't care for his methods and our crimesolving partnership is now over. Fin.

My mom and I were in England. We went on a day trip to the town of Bip, which was a historical town build around some old Roman ruins.

In the centre of Bip was all these enormous public art installations. Kind of an intersection between trash art and reclaimed slabs of Roman-era stone

We walked through the town quickly. I read a brochure describing how the town of Bip got its name, but I can’t reemmeber what it said. Up above the ruined amphitheatre was a cultural centre style building adorned with Mason and Rotary symbols. The banner above the door said The Sons Of Bip

scott seward hired me to renovate his record store to look like a UFO-style spaceship and then paid me in berkshares

Neil Degrasse Tyson and I were among a group of grad students on spring break in Myrtle Beach, SC. I don't join my classmates heading out at night to party because I have to proctor an exam the next morning. When I ask Neil why he is staying behind too, he morphs into Kurt Schwitters and says "when your dad owns a top furniture company, you need to be on guard against false accusations."

had a very long, very vivid dream about meeting a bunch of ilxors irl in a lovely pub in a small lake district village where the surrounding landscape was covered in snow

i went out for a smoke with tracer hand (i do not smoke nor do i actually know what tracer looks like) but the convivial atmosphere was punctured when we noticed a man dressed as spider-man 2099 skiing along a powerline high overhead

as i astutely pointed out 'hey that guy's dressed as spider-man 2099!' the mysterious skiier slipped, lost his balance and tumbled 100 feet or so to land in a crumpled, broken heap in the snowbound field across the road in front of us

I dreamt this guy had a camaro and was complaining how slow it was and I told him I didnt want to ride in it because it had no wtyres only rims - that was the issue

A group of ilxors were on our way to Carl Sandburg Mall in Galesburg, IL. On the way there, I warned everybody to be careful in traffic because "for us it's this dinky little mall, but for farm people Galesburg is the Big City and they'll come from hours away just to drunkenly cruise the strip." We enter through Kmart. As we're walking through the hair care aisle, Karl Malone checks to see if they have sulfate-free shampoo (they do!). ENBB and I split off and walk around talking about how when you're a kid you use the architecture of the mall to jump on and imaginative play. "this planter is a rocket ship!" "these stairs are a lava river!" etc. We stop in front of a closed Lego store. Lego had gone out of business. There was a mechanical pulse in the floor that would create these microearthquakes about every 30 seconds and every time it shook, all of the elaborate lego sculptures would break apart just a little bit and the pieces would pile up on the floor. In the front window of the Lego store were a pile of used cassette tapes. ENBB picked one out and put it on it was 50 Foot Wave. I was so excited to hear Kristin Hersh in my dream! Kerr showed up and he started talking about a number of different bands. Then Katherine showed up and was telling ENBB "You should really get a huge collection of shitty cassettes..." My eyes lighted on an old yellow Memorex cassette and I was so excited. I kept wanting to tell the gathered ilxors "look! It's my sister's copy of Grease!" But no words would come out. Then I woke up.

Oh, and we all drove to the mall in fake old timey cars from amusement park rides.

a runaround adventure biking boating-within-pubs-that-are-boats and avocado-eating on the coast of south county dublin/northern cali led to a dramatic climax wherein el tombot was introduced to me as jimmy and sheepishly admitted that yes not only was he jimmy but that he was in fact jimmy from jimmy eat world et fin

Wait - HL - that's a hell of a dream. Fwiw I LOVED those blank tapes. I thought the shapes were cool and I'm pretty sure that I reached for those more than any other whenever my mixtape making teenage self had the chance.

I worked at a hotel. The actor Jena Malone, of whom I am not very aware, died. El Tomboto, my boss, turned out to also be Jena Malone’s dad, the actor Thomas Jayne. Grief-stricken, he called a staff meeting to help him process his feelings. i composed a note of condolence on a Game Boy.
