had a dream that twitter changed their terms of service to say that gwar fans couldn't use the site and instead had to use a separate site called 'gwitter'; this led to a lengthy & heated ilm debate thread about how to define a 'fan' vs a 'casual listener'

dreamed that i went to a basement seance with roxy & VG (and three other women, i don't remember who they were) and the woman leading the seance was the singer from menace ruine
there was a band before the seance but all those people cleared out and that's when i realized that there were only 5 of us left (plus the leader)

last night i had a dream that my cousin was hosting a dinner party at his apartment in brooklyn and most of the dream was non-ilx related, but at the end max and j0rdan showed up uninvited and were both wearing the 'elderly until i die' t-shirt from the idakoos thread and then i woke up

Had a dream last night that I ended up at a half-empty Kendrick Lamar concert in a hockey arena in New York. Most of the audience were young black women, but sprinkled throughout were unshaven men wearing hipster glasses. They would intermittently get in heated arguments with one another and then scan around the audience for another hispter glasses man to lock eyes with for approval. No user names, or specific images of people from wdyll, but I thought it was relevant.

Trayce and I had to confront Abbott last night because she had been selling purple drank on the corner in her neighborhood. I guess we were cops or something? I just remember being served drank in what looked like the lid of a bottle of laundry soap.

Went to a Russian open-air train museum with la lechera and someone else I don't remember. We waited for steam trains to pull in while eating cake. The Orient Express made an appearance, but we didn't get on in time and it pulled out. We did look at pictures of the inside of the carriages, and one of them was decorated in black and covered in white writing about the failings of my supervisor. My hand came up in tiny blisters on the way home. Throughout the whole thing, LL knew what to do and where to go.

That sounds like an awesome dream!

It was! I wasn't worried about missing the train because instead I had an interesting walk home chatting to LL.

I dreamt that ilm either merged with rateyourmusic or implemented its own ratings system. Gaz Coombes and Supergrass immediately dominated the albums chart, holding 97 of the top 100 spots (OK Computer was #98 but idk about the last two). after a heated debate, the mods nullified all "joke" ratings, and the revised chart was pretty much what you'd expect for ilm, except 3 of the top 10 albums were still by Supergrass.

(I continue to deny that the Gaz Coombes thing is anything more than a forced meme, but I give credit to its originators for managing to infiltrate my unconscious)

"where is the love for Gaz Coombes?" is a perfectly terrible sentence that has definitely carved a deep groove in my mind

I had a dream last night that one of the profs in my department was holding a secret screening of Neil Young's Human Highway at her house, which isn't an ILX dream per se, but was obviously inspired by the talk about the film over on the Neil thread.

Last night I dreamt that I was talking to emil.y on ILX and her posts were like 3000 words plus and full of links and sound clips and ASCII art.

I wasn't gutted tbh

school was starting and i had clemenza as my history teacher this year. the first day of class he gave us a pop quiz on irish newspapers. after that was done, he took us outside to the baseball field where he had set up 3 gatorade coolers filled with coke, diet coke, and cherry coke, plus a large bowl of peanut noodles. a girl in the class told me that she 'recognized me from ILX'. i was skeptical but eventually identified her as the prolific ILX poster 'CloudFaerie'.

I was in some foreign city, possibly Tokyo, entering my hotel room where I found a 4ft high back of dry dog food and a note from kingfish informing me that it was a super secret Australian brand, which had made him think of me, and I should see if my dog would like it. I was very pleased and touched that he had thought of me and my dog even though I was fairly certain the dog did not actually exist.

I was on a trip with mookie and there were some challenges and he helped me out and in the end everything was fine and I learned some things. That's all I have, no details, but whatever it was that mookie explained he was very clear and calm about the whole thing, which fixed whatever the difficult situation was.

Medication changes have been messing up my sleep and giving me crazy dreams. Last night an ILXor shot their S.O. in the back of the head. I'm like damn, a bit of an overreaction imo, fortunately they didn't hear me --

Had a dream that Alfred, Lord Sotosyn and I were paranormal investigators tasked with investigating a series of disturbances in an old French castle that had been converted into condos. One day, when I went to Alfred's chamber, all of his stuff was still there but he and his bed had both disappeared. I turned around and saw a giant floating ghost head with rows of sharp teeth bearing down on me. I tried to punch it but my arms were frozen. Finally, I managed to get enough strength to punch it and I woke up, punching the air above my head in real life.

Whiney G. Weingarten and I were walking around London, looking for a place to eat ice cream. We found a Cold Stone Creamery location and ducked inside. The music on the in-store play was the Beatles' She Loves You. Whiney starts going off loudly and vocally about how much he hates the Beatles. The next song is While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Whiney keeps it up, chanting "The Beatles suck!" I join in. "The Beatles suck! Clapton sucks!" Eventually, this wears down the poor ice cream stand proprietor and he changes the music to some noise rock. Whiney is exultant. "Yes! Yes! Do you realize what we just DID here?" Skeptical, I glance over at the shopkeeper, who looks unperturbed by the change of music. In fact, he has a secret smile. I take a closer listen to the noise-rock. It is a Melt-Banana cover of Within You, Without You.

Dreamt that Remy's wife was pregnant and he kept dropping hints by posting pictures online of Easter eggs and nobody got it and then finally I did.

Weird. I have weird dreams.

hanging out with brad nelson and tim finney and some others. they were playing a really great mix on big speakers. but 20 minutes in the speaker amp overheated and the music stopped. they were like 'yeah this happens all the time unfortunately'

i watched pretty little liars last night right before bed, then had nightmare that a male ilxor was pulling a total 'A' on me.

On route to an event with some former friends and the cast of OITNB. I look up the venue and it turns out that wins not only owns the place, but has pioneered an entire empire of them. We get there and it's like a giant wooden emporium filled with cocktail bars and adventure playgrounds. There are thousands of drunk people there and at some point a few of us are trying to get a cable car to meet wins and get him to change a couple of the rules as it is assumed he is overseeing everything from 'the box'.

A weird dream that took place in an alternate USA where the capital city was Boston and ENBB and DJP were senators. Also instead of the Statue of Liberty in NYC, the French had given Boston a statue of a giant dolphin.
