I reject the idea that thread-starters control the discourse. I vote for Wright's Thick Cut, but John Morrell and Kroger's store brand is good too. And I like it with a large streak of lean, and a little undercooked so it's not crunchy.

today i had my first starbucks breakfast sandwich -- the pepper bacon egg cheese one. they must have dumped millions into R&D on it, because it is just AWESOME.

Right you lot: Name me a savoury dish that cannot be improved by the addition of bacon.

Three out of four of these Bacons are corpses. I would not lay a tooth to any of them.

I just added some streaky bacon to a roasted butternut squash/red pepper/celery/leek soup and it was incredible. Bacon (not the overrated goth fool, Francis) really does improve anything.
