LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Don Herbert, who as television's "Mr. Wizard" introduced generations of young viewers to the joys of science, died Tuesday. He was 89.
This was one of my fave shows on Nickelodean as a very young dorkling.

His show was one of my favorite things in childhood; not just watching but, IMMEDIATELY after having watched some experiment, going and trying it out in my kitchen/yard. I mean, the feasible ones of course, none of the exploding ones.

It would be nice if Nickelodeon ran a marathon of episodes or something in his honor. Or maybe aired reruns of this once a day instead of the same 12 episodes of Stupid Preteen Unfunny Comedy.

Oh :(
RIP Mr. Wizard. I've worn my safety glasses without complaint due to your example. Thanks for making science fun.

sad. i loved him. my mother, on the other hand, had more complicated feelings towards him due to the messy aftermath of various experiments.
