Every time I see the Sony Bravia commercial I cringe.

Has anyone else seen this? A man and a woman are outside an electronics store admiring a television. Then the screen shifts to the man or woman's 'dream' movie ending. For the woman, it involves singing and dancing about how amazing shoes are. Shoes shoes shoes! Hurray for shoes!

How shallow and materialistic do these people think women are? I mean, obviously it's intended to be humorous, but the 'joke' relies on the fact that, ultimately, yes, women love shopping, especially for shoes, and isn't it funny when we blow this fact out of proportion? It's offensive. Anyone else bothered by this or am I just too sensitive?
