Okay, I needs help on this one. I'm trying to set up some sorta secure link between one of the PCs in our small office here to one located about 30+ miles away. We just need to be able to remote into the thing and flip a coupla switches on a program and not have to rely on onsite staff with suspect training and even more suspect functional literacy to do so.
I've been told by other to do everything from playing around with WinVNC to getting a special router just to handle those connections. I don't know jack about this level of network connectivity/security.
Can somebody point me in the way of a decent if relatively inexpensive thing to try out? Should I just try bribing one of the local geek types?
