so it walks and, erm, that's it?

MarkH, Monday, 17 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

what do you mean, that's it?!! thank you for the link mike, your plastic pal who's fun to be with is finally a reality. i know how long people have been working on this concept, and honda have lead the way since wabot in the seventies. it is absurdly difficult, but don't you think that the motion is simply increadible? and you have to love the way it touches with its heel briefly before slapping its foot down. makes the steps a little jerky, but i'm sure that is being addresses to make a smoother, more natural walk. we will be seeing a lot of this kind of thing one day.

'more human than human, that's our moto here at tyrell corporation'...

Tracer Hand, Monday, 17 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Somewhere in time.... some ancient relative of mine would branch off into the inventor of this thing. Should I be proud?

Honda, Monday, 17 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

I wonder if it can screw?

Mike Hanle y, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

Future world. I like it. Does it dream?

ducklingmonster, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

or rather sleepwalk. I like its retro look. and the fact that its white (like the fridge, toaster, soda stream) means it must be food 'n drink service related

ducklingmonster, Tuesday, 18 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-two years ago) link

one year passes...
They had an ad on for this, very late tonight, the li'l shaver went out to the lawn and got the paper, and then waved the postman goodbye. I thought that he looked a little... wistful!

i did a short interview with david levy last week, partially about fuckdroids

he's convinced they'll bring happiness and satisfaction to that part of the human race that is awkward and socially maladjusted, who otherwise would never know the pleasure of an experienced and passionate lover

i wanted to say "pssst dude *prostitutes*"

the show that the interview will be part of will be here - http://freakytrigger.co.uk/slugoftime
