I've fallen into a new job somehow, based on a resume I sent out months ago, I dropped cash on lots of new music to celebrate, I had a pleasant cup of coffee with a very cute girl who is apparently terrified of bumblebees, and my car broke down twice in two days.

Oh and the other night ended with me in some shady house somewhere near Hollywood watching Latvians freak out after doing cocaine, listening to LCD Soundsystem, while I enjoyed a cup of tea and looked for escape routes.

I'm pissed about the Cubs, too. What a horrible team. Their two best pitchers have pudding for joints, apparently, their third best pitcher is a hothead, and their crafty olde veteran who was supposed to be their fourth best pitcher has now, by default, become their best. And fuck a Nomar.

i think we're cosmically aligned. i start a new job tomorrow, which i applied for months ago. i've been buying music and food and beer in the meantime. and i met a girl last week who gave me her number before i could even ask. oh, and my fucking car won't start, needs new starter!

This other girl gave me her number last week, and I wasn't even going to ask for it originally until I was shaking hands with her as she was leaving this bar and she rubbed my hands and said, "Ohhh, these need warming up". I sort of gurgled for a moment and then said, "number plz" and she gave it to me. On the way out the bar shortly after I saw her leaving and her truck had a bumper sticker that read, "Unless you're a hemorrhoid, get off my ass!" I remember saying, "Oh fuck."
