The findings reveal that Mexican isn't always healthier than regular fast food. A Chicken Burrito at Chipotle, partially owned by McDonald's, was about the same as eating one-and-a-half Quarter Pounders and a large Coke at the burger chain, in terms of fat, sodium and calories. Chipotle's Vegetarian Burrito had 1,100 calories and 75 percent of the recommended daily intake of saturated fat.

i go to chipotle out of necessity once or twice a week becuase working in a nightclub, i need something quick to eat when i take my ten minute break (we dont serve food). my options for something quick (the neighborhood has mostly upscale, sit-down places or other clubs) include fudruckers, subway, local chain burrito brothers and chipotle. is it that odd to assume that ordering a chicken burrito with rice, black beans, chicken, lettuce and tomato is somehow healthier than going to fudruckers to get a quarter pounder, fries and a milkshake? obviously mexican cuisine in general has plenty of high-cholesterol and high-fat foods, but what i order seems to be on the healthier side of the spectrum of what is available, and i am a little pissed that it isnt, especially since i have been so angry at myself for subsidising a large corporation (the food at burrito brothers makes me feel like shit). god i hate dc sometimes.

i eat chipotle a fair amt (i don't have a good excuse either) and i try to go vegetarian and skip the sour cream and cheese (still a sucker for guac tho, which is more lethal). i'm guessing the problem is in the other ingredients in everything, like whatever they do to give the rice its lovely viscosity, sweeteners in the salsas, who knows...

You have severe problems maintaining sanitary conditions in your restaurants. Also, you need to pay your workers less.

i don't really have food opinions here but the chipotle i used to live near was a smooth-running operation; i moved literally one town away and my new chipotle is a shitshow, like i've waited 20+ minutes on weeknights on multiple occasions. it's a convenient distance from my house but like i don't go to chipotle to chill in line.

We had a party with Chipotle catering well after the outbreak, and they did great and it was great and everyone was happy. Around $200 to feed 25 folks, well packaged and easily transportable piles of assemble it yourself ingredients, chafing dishes, fires, the whole deal. Thinking of doing it again. Maybe we have a good location?

I feel like 10 years ago Chipotle had an unimpeachable burrito-wrapping technique, but nowadays they just hand new recruits a tortilla and tell em "you'll get the hang of it!"

I passed on chipotle because of this thread. I had mini chicken katsu from L&L and am at peace with my decision.

That was OK, I guess. I got the steak. One piece of meat was unchewably gristly and I had to spit it out into a napkin. Something was unexpectedly spicy -- the guacamole? but not in an interesting way, more in a generically hot way. It fulfilled the goal of being fast to purchase, easy to carry and filling, but I'm not enthusiastic about going to Chipotle again.
