The Aesthetics and Psychology of Gaping Anal

Gaping anal is big these days, oui? Its appeal is undeniable, and, for males, it's a uni-preference fetish (gay or straight, you dig the cave). There's also the forbidden fruit/"danger" aspect of gaping anal - watching it, you realize that anonymous gaping anal with a stranger is probably the most dangerous sexual act imaginable (short of blood play or something), yet it's so bad, so dirty - so AWESOME. There's the sonic aspect as well - even if you aren't conversant in gaping anal, I'm sure you can imagine how it sounds. It sounds so silly, but so HUMAN. There's a lot I haven't thought of yet, so please help.

Granted, when it's taken to goatse-like levels of extravagance, it can be too much of a good thing. But when done tastefully, it awakens something very....honest in viewers.

LC, Monday, 26 April 2004 07:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Pardon tautology of "anonymous....stranger" sentence, please.

LC, Monday, 26 April 2004 07:19 (twenty-two years ago)

What the hell are you talking about?

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 07:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Goatse to thread.

Prude (Prude), Monday, 26 April 2004 07:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Aha, you've already invoked the G-man. Apologies.

Prude (Prude), Monday, 26 April 2004 07:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Is this "gaping anal" the new watersports (which was the new S/M, which was the new, er, well I was young then, perhaps it was the new casual sex?) and if so did I miss the memo and can I join Anth in the monestary?

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 07:34 (twenty-two years ago)

the new watersports?

the surface noise (electricsound), Monday, 26 April 2004 07:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, the trendy new kink.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Also your response time was almost Ned-like. ;-)

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I know they said this is an open message forum, but this is ridiculous.

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:07 (twenty-two years ago)

don't think its trendy. its the new norm. makes me a bit squeamish to be honest.

mullygrubber (gaz), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Gaping anal or watersports?

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:10 (twenty-two years ago)

the gaping anal moreso.

mullygrubber (gaz), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:11 (twenty-two years ago)

um, don't assholes kinda not gape unless they've been damaged somewhat?

g--ff (gcannon), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:12 (twenty-two years ago)

exactly so

mullygrubber (gaz), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Gaping anal is the new norm?

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Did we lose a war or something?

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:14 (twenty-two years ago)

mullygrubber (gaz), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:16 (twenty-two years ago)

g--ff (gcannon), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:17 (twenty-two years ago)

You're telling me that children of parents who are currently in their 20s will someday be able to assume that their parents experimented with gaping anal since, after all, it was the norm.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I am going to sleep now and I suspect I will not have pleasant dreams.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Also: "Sister Christian" seems like a really boring song for something that was apparently a hit. What's up with that?

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:21 (twenty-two years ago)

fuck i hope not. i might turn into scary prude guy here so i'm off. leave it to LC

xpost

mullygrubber (gaz), Monday, 26 April 2004 08:22 (twenty-two years ago)

What is gaping anal?
I know I could google it, but it might be better to avoid picures, before I know what it is.

(Plus I'm in work)

mei (mei), Monday, 26 April 2004 09:48 (twenty-two years ago)

reminds me of the joke from "True Porn Clerk Stories" where she remarks that video boxes marked "Gaping Asshole Inside!" are often held by gaping assholes themselves.

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Monday, 26 April 2004 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

ALso, I'm not sure it IS the new norm. It certainly doesn't do anything for me.

i dunno coq man, i think you're on your own here. there's something horribly unsexy abt the word 'gaping'.

mark p (Mark P), Monday, 26 April 2004 14:25 (twenty-two years ago)

LC, I am so mad at you right now.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 26 April 2004 14:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Well ALLOW me to RETORT!!!

Yes, in the porn world, it is quickly becoming the norm, something expected, unlike contemporary wassersportaten. I think the appeal is someting to do with seeing sexuality laid so utterly prone, hygenic stigmas brushed aside, the rawness of the anal subsurface thrust right in your face (this is the idea, too: there's always a big, dramatic, abrupt pull-out as the booty reflexively yawns agape). "This is how intense penetration looks - NOW TAKE A LOOK INSIDE for the aftermath." I think part of the psychology can lie in something as simple as the age-old adolescent male sexual frustration at wanting to see deeper into the female form but never really getting the chance, even in porn, even while doing the deed itself - until gaping anal that is. Oh and hole digging instincts.

LC, Tuesday, 4 May 2004 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

what about gaping watersports?

the surface noise (electricsound), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 12:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Give it time.

LC, Tuesday, 4 May 2004 12:15 (twenty-two years ago)

And the stakes get higher

Could the words of Rodney Moore call a killing moon upon G.A. as we know it, especially during this time of hysteria in the industry?

LC, Saturday, 8 May 2004 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

i don't think i need to see the phrase 'anal creampie' ever again

the 'surface' 'noise' (electricsound), Saturday, 8 May 2004 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Well there you go then.

TheNewJMod (JMod), Saturday, 8 May 2004 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

i love a good gaping anal as much as the next man but y'know...

the 'surface' 'noise' (electricsound), Saturday, 8 May 2004 13:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Simultaneously funny and horrifying. Initially I was pronouncing it 'crem-peez'

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 8 May 2004 15:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Samantha, is the author of that blog a friend or acquaintance of yours? I'd love to collaborate with or syndicate her somehow.

LC, Sunday, 9 May 2004 00:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know her, we just recently discovered each other's blogs. I dig her though.

uh, collaborate?
