seriously terrible news about the triple rock. just heartbreaking.

I know I've only recently moved here and no one knows me yet but I'm gonna be at the Craig Finn/John K. Samson show there on Friday if anyone wants to have a beer.

That's horrible about the Triple Rock. I wonder what happened. It's not like live music or bars have become less lucrative businesses, and as far as I can tell that place was beloved from the start. I certainly loved it.

Sad. I'll see you all at the Boris and Girlpool shows, then never again.

Where will Waxahatchee play next summer, they've played the Triple Rock like five summers in a row!

I think it's gone for good. It's really a shame. It would probably still be going if the previous board software had remained viable, or if whatever they migrated it to had worked better (rather than being a buggy, spambot-ridden disaster). Of course, running it was a thankless, unpaid task to begin with, so it's understandable. But I'll miss it forever. It was the greatest.

anyone have opinions on the mpls mayor race? i don't mind hodges one bit, frey and hoch give me the willies and i'm hearing stuff about how dehn is a simply awful human so i might just put pounds at #1 to scare the MPD and put hodges second and leave it at that
