Goldfish crackers are cute but are they really that delicious? Be reasonable now.

Search:
* mixed box of cookies you can get around Xmastime.... Geneva, MIlano, shortbread, and various cookies, most of which are dipped in chocolate or have chocolate sandwiched between them
* puff pastry (though other brands are also good)

Destroy:
* chocolate chunk cookies.... dry and BO-RING

The Pepperidge Farm outlet store (!!!) is classic.

Also search: Pizza goldfish, *FLAVOR BLASTED X=TRA PIZZA GOLDFISH*, mint and chocolate milanos, the apricot & strawberry filled cookies, the tubular cookies I used to put on my finger as a young 'un, and also the plain goldfish!

Destroy: Pretzel golfish--if I wanted a pretzel, I would have a pretzel. Pepperidge Farm rye bread is inferior to Arnold's rye.

Search: the crunchy mint chocolate cookies. One layer of cookie, one layer of choco goodness, one layer of mint and another layer of cookie=greatness.

Destroy: the bad tasting ones.

Um.... What does Pepperidge Farm remember?

Rocco DiSpirito, Friday, 5 March 2004 08:02 (twenty years ago) link

Search: bread and rolls; chessmen and Bordeaux cookies; those new cookies they've had with the praline in them; most of the goldfish.

Destroy: most of the rest of their cookies (I don't know, I just don't like them; or maybe I don't like them enough for the price); nacho goldfish.

If I had 25 cents for every Milano I ate in college, I could've paid the tuition for the school in question. Pepperidge Farm cookies used to be sold in the college shop, right next to the Smartfood.

Heh, one summer I worked at a Pepperidge Farm Bakery/Factory slinging breadpans and mixing dough. I have scars from burns up both of my forearms to prove it. It was an amazing experience that I hope never to repeat.

The best thing was when a loaf of bread would stick to a pan. I'd get to pull it out, tear it, take a couple of bites of hot fresh bread crust, pitch the rest. I am a bread fiend. Plus you're working hard enough for 8 hours to eat as much as you want with no worries.

Mint Milano, mmmm, I had a packet at my mum's house.

That scary old man talking about "Pepperidge Farm remembers!" used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. What? Remembering every bad thing I've ever done, what, are you god or something? Argh!
