The LOLz continue...

This is brutal. I imagine this is the end of Rashid for a while.
― Good cop, Babcock (Chinaski), Friday, 25 January 2019 17:25 (five years ago) link
Leach should obviously have played tbh
― imago, Friday, 25 January 2019 17:56 (five years ago) link
did SV mean they'll find a way to lose the series? even that has to be in doubt at this point, although they will have an extremely angry stuart broad to contend with
― imago, Friday, 25 January 2019 18:14 (five years ago) link
this is kind of glorious murder meanwhile
England win this series 2-1. My brother pointed out this morning that the lack of regard these cunts pay to the first test in every series is immoral
― Sarri, Sarri, pride of our alley (Noodle Vague), Friday, 25 January 2019 18:45 (five years ago) link
why do they have a pitch that was only fit to last a 20/20 game?
Some 20/20 game this is from WI.
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Friday, 25 January 2019 18:47 (five years ago) link
229 and counting for the 7th wicket, no. 7 batsman on the verge of a century, 150 already up for the no. 8 bat. The pitch is a ruddy disgrace.

WI contrive to lose...the fifth day
― imago, Saturday, 26 January 2019 19:51 (five years ago) link
Another comedy collapse. 8 for 60 for Roston Chase, who didn't even get a bowl in the 1st innnings!
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Saturday, 26 January 2019 20:33 (five years ago) link
Shane Warne's best ever Test performance was 8 for 71, a dibbly-dobbly part-time non-spinning spinner has just topped that.
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Saturday, 26 January 2019 20:51 (five years ago) link
The English top 6 are worse than any English side of the 90s. Roots batting has been awful since becoming captain
― Oor Neechy, Thursday, 31 January 2019 20:09 (five years ago) link
Anyone think the windies will even need to bat again in this test?
― Oor Neechy, Saturday, 2 February 2019 16:37 (five years ago) link
I think they will need to bat again, but whether they need 50, 120 or 200, we shall see...
― Neil S, Saturday, 2 February 2019 17:48 (five years ago) link
Bairstow out so probably 50. England have their problems but remember that they beat the world no. 1 side 4-1 not so long ago.
― Neil S, Saturday, 2 February 2019 17:50 (five years ago) link
they beat the odd team in the 90s too
― Oor Neechy, Saturday, 2 February 2019 17:56 (five years ago) link
beating Sri Lanka 3-0 in Sri Lanka wasn't bad either. No shame in losing overseas to what is a good WI team, and no reason for doom and gloom
― Neil S, Saturday, 2 February 2019 18:00 (five years ago) link
A good WI team? Have you told Geoffrey Boycott?
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Saturday, 2 February 2019 18:02 (five years ago) link
G Boycott should keep his mouth shut
― Neil S, Saturday, 2 February 2019 18:05 (five years ago) link
It seemed to have the desired effect on the WI team - though not the effect Boycott would have wanted.
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Saturday, 2 February 2019 18:07 (five years ago) link
This series is a pasting for the ages
― imago, Saturday, 2 February 2019 20:02 (five years ago) link
the WI are not a good side but they have a better attitude. The 20/20 players fucked off.The English players just want to play like KP and they are being found out. England needs some players in the top 4 who can just dig in and lay a foundation for the flair players like Bairstow, Buttler (as keeper and at 7) and stokes.
― Oor Neechy, Saturday, 2 February 2019 20:04 (five years ago) link
Funniest thing I've seen in years.
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Saturday, 2 February 2019 20:31 (five years ago) link
Disappointed it took the Windies so long to knock off the runs tbh.
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Saturday, 2 February 2019 20:38 (five years ago) link
the collapse is on and Root looks mentally shot. Captaincy is ruining him.
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Saturday, 9 February 2019 17:51 (five years ago) link
Butler dropped on 0
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Saturday, 9 February 2019 18:11 (five years ago) link
Hetmyer had that catch all the way
― imago, Saturday, 9 February 2019 18:11 (five years ago) link
It's kinda hard to imagine Butler punishing them innit. I like him a lot and think he should be keeping and batting at 7 with Bairstow @5 but you know he's going to slash at another one soon enough.
This is a hugely important innings for Root. Captains need to be able to score big tons when the team is struggling.
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Saturday, 9 February 2019 18:26 (five years ago) link
And Root fails out before tea
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Saturday, 9 February 2019 19:21 (five years ago) link
a good day for England. Root is just out of touch, I don't think it's the captaincy.
― Neil S, Saturday, 9 February 2019 22:02 (five years ago) link
I switched the tv off when stokes was c&b as i was feeling a bit dizzy and just found out he got a reprieve!
Why don't umpires look and give no-balls like how they did for a hundred odd years?
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Saturday, 9 February 2019 22:23 (five years ago) link
it was a very close call, impossible for the on-field umpire to call I think. Stokes played really well today.
― Neil S, Saturday, 9 February 2019 22:33 (five years ago) link
wrap mark wood up in cotton wool please. Dont overbowl him. 5 over spells.
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Sunday, 10 February 2019 18:45 (five years ago) link
There's nothing quite like a fast bowler bowling at 95MPH, eh?Neil S said it watching Mitchell Johnson in Sydney a few years ago in the Ashes.
I grew up in an era when the Windies had 4 of them and a conveyor belt behind them waiting.
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Sunday, 10 February 2019 19:04 (five years ago) link
Anyone remember Geoff Thomas? He was seriously fast for England.
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Sunday, 10 February 2019 19:05 (five years ago) link
he's just got another one! Amazing
― Neil S, Sunday, 10 February 2019 19:12 (five years ago) link
This is proper. WI can't handle it.
― imago, Sunday, 10 February 2019 19:20 (five years ago) link
It does need to be said that Brathwaite started the collapse with maybe the worst shot a Test captain has ever played
― imago, Sunday, 10 February 2019 19:21 (five years ago) link
Don't break yersel, Mark!
― Good cop, Babcock (Chinaski), Sunday, 10 February 2019 19:31 (five years ago) link

shannon gabriel must fancy his chances of ripping more than a few out tonight if he bowls like he did in the morning
There can't be a single England fan rooting for Jennings here? Would be such a fucking pisser if he played any sort of innings to keep his spot here
― imago, Sunday, 10 February 2019 21:00 (five years ago) link
I'm torn. I feel bad for the guy but he's plainly not up to it.
I think I'd pick Roy. And Hain has had a decentish tour with the Lions.
― Good cop, Babcock (Chinaski), Sunday, 10 February 2019 21:02 (five years ago) link
haha If he scored a ton he'd be playing against the Aussies who will destroy him (their bowling might well do that whoever we put up, but no point in making it easy for them)
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Sunday, 10 February 2019 21:03 (five years ago) link
Roy is a dasher but if he is scoring runs it wont be a problem. Nobody else we try has succeeded.
― Friedrich B. Neechy (Oor Neechy), Sunday, 10 February 2019 21:04 (five years ago) link
There really is noone else, is there?
