Archos Recorder: Anyone in london got one???

you clearly should have bought an iPod

I nearly bought an Archos FM recorder from eBay today but bidding went from £150 to £200 in the last 10 minutes so I chickened out.

Ed is it much poorer than an iPod? The extra functionality, FM radio, recorder, line out/in etc and the fact it's a lot cheaper are pushing me towards it.

if gareth'shas broken down then yes it is poorer. Recording still isn't an official feature, but it should soon come.

there is nothing wrong with it, it is fine, i have a question abiout the powerpack/charger. i think mine is at my parents and im not clued up about powerpacks, is difficult to get replacement, and im unable to go home until late august at earliest. im trying to get my parents to collect random powerpacks in the house and describe them over the phone. i think its a proprietry powerpack, but im not sure. anyone?

it is only proprietory if it has a wierd connector on the end. what does the socket look like.

'Archos Recorder' would be a decent band name.
