2001 movie wherein many characters struggle with happiness in various ways. I really enjoyed it, but am kind of surprised it ever got made, at least in the US. Usually, these kinds of broad, philosophical films come out of Europe. Anyway, what's the verdict?

Near-classic. Something just didn't quite hit it right when I saw it, but I still ardently enjoy it. Maybe it was just that I didn't quite like the way that the tension was resolved in the Alan Arkin storyline. Anyway...

Until I saw the movie, I assumed the conversations were about sex. That would make sense, wouldn't it?
