after watching this last night it occured to me i hadn't heard of either actor for a long time which in richard pryor's case is a shame - is this a case of "i thought they were dead syndrome" as opposed to not working or are they actually dead

"Hoshi! Hoshi! Oh shittt! Oh shit! Hoshi! Hoshi!"

Wilder and Pryor both still around but Pryor pretty well out of the game now for health reasons - the last time I saw him was a cameo in D Lynch's Lost Highway.

my dad always says richard pryor is dead--he isn't--he's in a wheelchair and has some kind of disease--he was in lost highway [like marcello typed too] but that was almost six years ago, now.

don't know about gene but I don't think he's dead.

this one film is terrible.

Wilder got non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 1999, and made a full recovery in 2000, according to IMDB.

Stir Crazy is one of the funniest movies ever. So is Silver Streak, though not quite as.

Pryor has MS. He's still around but it's really really sad.
