In the past month I got a mullet (all the kids are doing it), and got flown to Melbourne for my wife's Christmas party! Multi-night winery tour, all expenses paid. Going to be real tough going to Christmas parties if she ever moves firms. I was many wines deep in this photo, while still managing to retain enough decorum to counterbalance my mullet next to all these career lawyers. We did a bit of volunteer work responding to sexual assaults just before this too, a very heavy week.

Also made an overnight decision to try and get into medicine so currently trying to learn Chem/Bio which I stopped learning at age 14 and Physics which stopped at 18. Thankfully, based on some practice tests done, the humanities half of the test won't need to much attention. Nice to finally see my philosophy degree be useful for a potential career! Anyways, not much time lurking these here parts which means even less time posting. Hopefully be back to pester and post-bait more frequently in a few months time after this test is conquered (fingers crossed). All my love; hi and bye!

i tried to make a genuine attempt at a beard a few years ago and after a couple weeks realized i had forgotten about a few scars in my beard zone that can no longer grow hair. tried to pull off the patchy beard for a bit but started to get too many tips from strangers

it's best to have 7-10 secret identities

but actually the real answer - not sure if you were asking about this indirectly or if it's just what i'm thinking about, but that's the advantage of an obscure question - is that i have always thought of myself as several different identities, or ways to go about things. work, family, church, art. they all held or hold different weights in my life, over time, and i thought of them as different things. but in revealing a secret identity i do seek to just be a little bit more real, although in an obscure way

I am quite convinced that my brain, like other human brains, contains multiple layers of subconscious behavior, which influence my thoughts and actions in ways that are nearly invisible to my consciousness. It often requires some post-event reflection and a bit of 'reverse-engineering' to figure out what the hell happened when these influences intermittently take control of my decision making.

For non-glamorous career reasons I shouldn't post my photo online, but it may surprise you to know that I am a middle-aged man with a beard.

me and my babies. so nice to spend time with them while they are home for the break. we went next door to turners falls yesterday to the thrift store (ugh my kids really like to look at clothes for a long time), the new record store (ugh, i can really look at a lot of records), and the new book store which is awesome and hip and they have another store in brooklyn. fun! i bought some Cioran to get into the holiday spirit.
