This year's been a complete fucking right off for me, a void. 2020 was much better.

I was posting erroneous hearsay about how young fit Americans were not likely to get the vaccine before Sept 2021.

I was running a half term camp at a boarding school, which basically involved sitting at reception and checking the kids were eating lunch. Last thing I did before my company disappeared.

Stuck in some kind of repetition karma:

One year ago went for longish walk around Kennington/ Camberwell/Peckham/Herne Hill/Brockwell Park and back walk. Freezing cold, mostly in the dark, and walk somewhat blighted by the severe lack of toilet facilities.

Today - in a flat in the beginning stages of bathroom refurbishment with no ready access toilet or washing facilities (involves trek to the nearby gym)

I had to turn to the journal of my age, the family WhatsApp group. My sister was pretty sick with covid, and we were all trying to distract ourselves from the worry by making fun of my mother for fancying Wolf Blitzer and posting updates from the Arizona count.

I was otm here imo.

Personally 2021 has been a good year for me in terms of physical health only, mental health is still lmao insert coin and try again.

One year ago today, it had been months since I’d seen a single member of my family in person. So yeah, pretty happy that didn’t stay that way.

Yes, I was using Map My Walk on Android. Unfortunately, I can no longer use it, as the latest version doesn't support the version of Android my phone is running. I now use something called Viewranger, but I export the GPX files it creates and upload them to the desktop version of Map My Walk so I can view the routes and statistics on the MMW website.

I like the voice on map my walk informing me every time I've reached another mile apart from when it happens walking past other people and feel a bit awkward about my phone telling everyone how far I've walked.

When I heard it doing that, I turned it straight off in settings.

it's been a very odd year, I lost a job in Cambridge and got a better but more stressful one in London, spending a fortune on trains and feel shattered, but at least the unbearable panic of late 2020 has faded away.
