Years ago my friend brought me some bootleg DVDs from Japan and one of them was Closer, which was dubbed into Japanese with English subtitles. I watched about 20 minutes of it and was impressed by how bizarre the dialogue was, and how experimental the whole thing seemed. Then I realized that the subtitles were from the movie The Piano. Anyway that version was Clive Owen’s finest hour.

My concept of "worst film" dances well with the concept of this exercise, I am more-revolted by well-made (and successful/celebrated) pieces of shit than I am by demonstrations of ineptitude (that D&D movie with Jeremy Irons, Thora Birch and Marlon Wayans is the most-inept but I can't say it enraged me)
