Not sure why you can’t buy liquor in grocery stores in most of Maryland.

only 10 states have laws allowing surrogacy. my first experience with it was in the 80s when a friend with polycystic kidney disease, autosomal dominant and resulting in kidney failure, didn’t want her genes passed down but wanted her husband to father a child

absolutely worthwhile niche, Dan S, but potential spawners are relying on you to up the intensity a few dozen notches right here and right now

the person I love the most was born from surrogacy. it was entirely optional and I can understand people having moral issues with it, but I am grateful to have that person in my life

Cities should have programs for unwanted children akin to bulky waste disposal. If there is a child you no longer want you can bring it to a designated recycling area along with sofas, mattresses and cumbersome armoires.

This post got me wondering about the "Safe Surrender" logo I always see posted on the front facade of my neighborhood fire station, signifying that people are welcome to come in and legally & anonymously relinquish their unwanteds into State custody, which has been a requirement of California law for the last 20 years.

But I only just now discovered that in Indiana, Ohio, Arkansas and Arizona, if you're too freaked out (or busy) to walk the thing inside and hand it over, you can use one of their 52 convenient library book return style drop boxes!

you could probably cram an old flat-screen monitor in there too, but anything greater than a 21" you'd probably have to cut into pieces first.
