Where is the lie

International law is a ‘political construct’ and breaking it is ‘routine’, Tory MP says https://t.co/Qvdy5XeHzU

Are literally all of you listening to Times Radio?

Nope. I attempted to put it on once to see where it was on the Talk/LBC/R4 scale and ended up on an indie landfill channel instead. For 5 seconds.

One of the kids in my son's year 9 tests positive over the weekend. The school tries to contact Public Health England to ensure they track and trace correctly. They CAN'T GET THROUGH to Public Health England, and today have had to send the whole year home.https://t.co/1PYTXcS9C1

I suspect things like this are happening all over the country right now. Absolute shitshow doesn't even begin to cover it.

I wonder what proportion of the Cabinet would privately admit even to themselves that they are in way way way over their head and fundamentally not capable of doing their jobs.

Matt DC, Monday, 14 September 2020 10:40 (three years ago) link

What portion of the Cabinet's idea of "doing their job" would coincide with yours or mine?

Daniel_Rf, Monday, 14 September 2020 10:45 (three years ago) link

i always hold to the "Tories know what they're doing" line as far as economic destruction is concerned but this is somewhat different, one of the unpleasant side jobs of governing a country is supposed to be dealing with shit like this and much as they don't really care they *are* also really incompetent to do that

I've never seen that before - an MP 'giving way' to prompt someone else to say something, when they have nothing to say.

It does make BJ look peculiarly ignorant (of his own policy) as well as foul and disgusting.

Unlike others here (and elsewhere), I have always liked Ed Miliband a lot.

I am terribly torn on Ed Mili always (v Gemini, that) because on the one hand he was weak as shit as a leader and controls on immigration/cop shit/all the stuff we went through in 2015 and on the other, when he’s being himself and hammering right he’s very good at it. Also, he beat his cunt of a brotherand people who do scathing well are automatically 100000% more attractive to me.

Alphie, I beg you, I’ve tapped the damn sign so much I’ve worn holes in it.
