one of my favorite shows of last year is back on showtime tonight (and on demand now). in s1 don cheadle plays a stockbroker looking for a big payday and his scheme triggers the titular day in 1987. s2 is set in ‘88, cheadle’s on the run and his former second (played by regina hall) is angling to make a big acquisition of... a savings and loan.
created by david caspe (happy endings) and also starring andrew rannells, paul scheer, and casey wilson. and ken marino plays twins. it’s really surreal and fast paced and i highly recommend it.
