Not sure how I knew timothy, tbh -- I went through some men's names and it vaguely rang a bell.

Ended up with a Buckner tie, 5(4)-5(2), because I assigned my opponent a 0 on multitudes (second-easiest question of the day), a 1 on Antarctica (easiest question of the day), and a 1 on Marat/Sade (he has a .781 in Theatre), and he missed all of them, but got the Spain and golf questions right.

That's quite a coincidence, because I got 3 for multitudes, and my opponent missed it despite a 0.600+ Literature score. And today's opponent, with a Literature score in the high 0.800s, also missed it. Meanwhile, the entirety of our rundle went 84% on it.

I've encountered him several times over the years, suffice to say I defriended him on Facebook quite some time ago and he's generally edged himself out to the furthest fringes of the bits of the international quiz community I frequent.

I usually do a good job of actually reading the question, but in the 1DS on Pitchfork reviews, I answered "The Strokes" and "The Beach Boys" instead of "Is This It" and "Pet Sounds." Dumb! But even though those were the only two I missed, getting them right would've only been good enough for a tie at 52nd.

Finished first in my Folk Music group.

But ofc did very badly in the Final.

I have no memory at all of the other ML Finals I have been in, except maybe the general idea that they are usually super-hard.

I got all 12 right in the Star Trek: TNG 1DS but didn't even crack the 90th %ile, which is the second-biggest heartbreak for me this week.

People love them some Star Trek.

I mean, I could've won the damn thing, this feeling of regret reminds me of something similar from last week.
