He is building a monument on the waterfront of the meatpacking district, commissioned by the Whitney. An homage to Gordon Matta Clark.

He trained under Charles White but gave up painting for a more conceptual approach.

He had a retrospective at Mnuchin Gallery several years ago. Those Mnuchins. But he insisted Japanese classical music be played through the whole thing instead of jazz, which the elder Mnuchin wanted, and, idk, i think that was probably some kind of joke.

I see his African American flag most days, as it is flying in front of a house in Fort Greene.

I really like the paintings he displayed covered in tarp or garbage bags. There is an inherent humor to many of his provocations that actually works—an elegance I don’t see that often in “conceptual” art.

looking forward to seeing Day's End. I remember liking reading about his Bliz-aard Ball sale of snowballs of various sizes
