as in, that is what the original model was. a lot of the other ships were made via kitbashing, where you buy a bunch of scale model car, plane, etc. kits and combine them in novel ways. combined with random crap they also glued on

i read somewhere (dont rember where) that Slave 1 was actually modelled on a radar dish. ILM ppl noted afterwards that it looked like nearby streetlamps & then the streetlamp thing became lore after that.

the crap was not random; lucas had very clear design ideas and shapes he wanted represented in each starfighter design.

No. The tilting of the passenger cabin is actually shown in the beginning of this ep. The pilot and co-pilot DO strap in on their back though.

i guess she does add a certain jankiness, if much less so than giancarlo being such a wuss

All the imperials are fey. Gina carano has an enjoyable physicality, terfiness aside, which ill be charitable and chalk up to jock head trauma (ymmv)

Usually you let the characters from the show be the ones that you know meet the challenge and defeat it ... this just made it all seem pointless. And undermined their relationship
