I was pretty sure Couturier wasn't going to play (and he is not), so I wasn't to positive about this game, but Oscar Lindblom is playing in his first game since Dec. 7 and two months since his last cancer treatment and I am hyped as fuck.

Of course I've got Flyers-Devils Gm.7 ECF 2000 Lindros vibes and the ghost of Scott Stevens.

I've really liked AV as a coach but his challenges in this series have been suicidal.

27 years since an (Islander) team got to the ECF, really thought they were going to get it tonight.

Yeah.

Flyers have won all their games this series in OT. I'm pretty much good regardless of the outcome of Game 7 because they've shown me some fight in Games 5 and 6.

Hahaha I remember being on the couch with my father during the Volek goal, one of the favorite sports moments. Almost made up for the Dale hunter hit. It’s been 27 years of nothing close since.

Chris King (on the right) may be an acquired taste, but he's been pretty much like this every night on the radio for decades, even during meaningless games when the Isles are getting blown out. Love it. (Greg Picker is also great).

refs gathering around the ipad, zooming in to get a good look at the player's eyes to suss out intent while the cheeky soundguy plays "anticipation" over the pa.

i'm not necessarily against puck-over-the-glass being a penalty. i just object to the fact that the refs can and will choose to let more egregious things slide depending on the game situation, but this silly thing is called because it's black-and-white.

(tbf, both these last two games had penalties called with under six to go in the third, and i'm surprised beauvillier got a double minor, so good for them)
