the lease for our single-person office
in sagaponack
is up at the end
of august

i'm not sure if that's your ring
tone or mine or hers or maybe someone dropped
their phone, possibly the water
cooler guy who came by earlier but the thing
is i wouldna copped
to it either way because i oughta
keep it on mute as per Jamie's request
out of sight off of desk

bitches be hella yappin
while brother there is wackin

sometimes i wonder
all this waste of of wood
is really putting us asunder
