For most of us, it is not a stretch to acknowledge that many many shit people went to/graduated from Harvard.

Naive and non-snarky British question: why do the UK government seem to be gunning for a fight with Russia? Is it as simple as "Its a response to the poisoning on British soil"? (My guess is that it isn't).

Tough talk always plays well with large swathes of the electorate. Think back to the Falkland's War and the big boost it gave Thatcher's popularity, even though the war probably cost more than a century's worth of the Falkland's GDP.

Not for me to say. But laughing at the mayor's assertion that Laurence Tribe "went to Harvard" as a way of delegitimizing the idea that Tribe is full of shit is picking up the wrong end of the stick. btw, it also doesn't wash, because Tribe did go to Harvard. He went there to work there.

afaics, Trump's main strategy has been to tweet "NO COLLUSION" about 3-5 times a week. Sometimes to vary the message he says it into a microphone.

A "strategy" implies he is following his lawyer's advice (he isn't), so their message and actions are well-coordinated (they aren't), or else he has thought through his present and future actions carefully on his own (he hasn't).

It's like every word I never want to read again all in one place. Except vampirism - I'm still alright with Vlad Drac as far as I know.

Well, someone has to form a strategy. I suggested his lawyers as one obvious source for a strategy, but also suggested he could also be the source. Neither seems true in my view. Who else would you suggest is creating this strategy Abramson says Trump is following?
