Real posters you don't have to Google only.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:01 (eight months ago) Permalink

didn't we lose the liverpool title in recent years? we're in the hunt for little more than fourth, if anyone deserves to be given the "will fuck up the title no matter what" based on recent years it's spurs.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:17 (eight months ago) Permalink

I think you'll be heavily involved in the title race this year, give or take a new defensive signing or two.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:30 (eight months ago) Permalink

Salah / Manè should be fantastic.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:32 (eight months ago) Permalink

Also putting Spurs in the thread title will only encourage people.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 11:32 (eight months ago) Permalink

Fullback situation looks very dodgy for Liverpool though.

they look brittle and scared every time watford have the ball in and around the box tbh. fucking joke to still be so bad at the back.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:02 (eight months ago) Permalink

Going to be 4-3 again.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:04 (eight months ago) Permalink

Mignolet there going for the counter and obligingly rolling the ball straight to a Watford player.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:12 (eight months ago) Permalink

Stop calling him Okaku ffs.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:14 (eight months ago) Permalink

Liverpool look flat as fuck here

put your hands on the car and get ready to die (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:14 (eight months ago) Permalink

Firmino has been completely anonymous and none of this back four looks remotely like Champions League standard.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:18 (eight months ago) Permalink

Salah's shooting has been pretty entertaining

put your hands on the car and get ready to die (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:28 (eight months ago) Permalink

henderson the worst culprit but can has no real creativity either. would take a draw here in an instant.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:33 (eight months ago) Permalink

truth is liverpool will concede at least one more in this game, at the very least that is. they might score another.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:33 (eight months ago) Permalink

how can a pro deny that is a penalty? like it couldn't be more obvious.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:46 (eight months ago) Permalink

So Firmino is playing after all.

Good too be back, EPL.

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:47 (eight months ago) Permalink

my stream broke as firmino was about to hit the penalty - terrifying.

xpost also hooray for salah's first goal

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:47 (eight months ago) Permalink

Two games, 12 goals is pretty good going.

Matt DC, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:48 (eight months ago) Permalink

Even allowing for inflation, Firmino must be worth at least 6 Tony Galvins.

calzino, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:49 (eight months ago) Permalink

Falling apart indeed, but even this breakaway from Watford leads to comedy capers in Pool's defense

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 12 August 2017 12:57 (eight months ago) Permalink

i think the problems in the defence are so deep that one player won't fix them, even if they can sign vvd or whatever. there's a rot there for a long time now.

calzino, Saturday, 12 August 2017 13:07 (eight months ago) Permalink

can't believe it's going to be another season of butt-clenching scorelines like this in the last 15 mins. some lost, some held.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Saturday, 12 August 2017 13:08 (eight months ago) Permalink

could be a blessing in disguise, as they might try and get vvd after all now

I'll say one thing for Rodgers, he really relishes beating Rangers, to an almost (Neil) Lennonesque degree.

cajunsunday, Friday, 20 April 2018 14:27 (four days ago) Permalink

(xp) Yes, but a Deila or a Strachan, with Celtic comfortably winning, would have taken off a few leading players, stuck on a holding midfielder or two - Rodgers brought on three forwards as substitutes.

and vice versa. In fact, winning 50-0 against a scratch team of bemused and scared tribesmen from the Kalimantan forests with only the barest understanding of the game's rules and none of tactics, at a packed Ibrox, that would be the perfect matchday experience for the fascistic bullies who make up the entirety ofthe vast majority ofa majority ofa disturbingly large proportion of Rangers support

Tribunal result for Ampadu comes in and is, IMO, pretty derisory for a player who's gone straight into the first team squad.

If I didn't know better I'd almost the football authorities in this country have structured things to support the richest at the expense of the least rich.

I've seen those posts on the forums....there's obviously a brazen-ness that comes with people who don't give a shit how badly they come across, which is depressing in itself.

I was a big fan as a kid, I'm from Northern Ireland and for a lot of us they were a big deal. But tbh it's been over 20 years since I could call myself a Rangers fan and too many scumbags make me think that it's too much hassle to be involved again in any sort of active way. Can't be bothered.

not a bad day of results for the non-playing bottom-enders in the end! Burnley had a few good chances in the last few minutes and should have put one of them in the net, but a point for Stoke hopefully means they are doomed.

groovypanda, Monday, 23 April 2018 07:48 (yesterday) Permalink

The football gods have been throwing us gifts and pissing all over Southampton/Stoke's chips, but I always overrate the fuck out of relegation rivals and believe the worst will happen, until it doesn't.

calzino, Monday, 23 April 2018 07:54 (yesterday) Permalink

From your position, Albion can't catch you, Stoke have to win 2 out of 3 (and hope your GD takes a battering) and Saints have to win at least 2 out of 4 (they've only won once all year in the league).

Swansea meanwhile finish with home games against Saints and Stoke which should see them safe.

groovypanda, Monday, 23 April 2018 08:21 (yesterday) Permalink

We haven't been shat on by the football gods in such a long time now that I have an irrational + superstitious belief we are owed a last game relegation. But rational mind agrees with you + says we're probably already safe.

Was 2001 the last time? (was the last time I paid close attention to a Huddersfield relegation struggle)

Google lobster hierarchies (Bananaman Begins), Monday, 23 April 2018 16:21 (yesterday) Permalink

yeah, Palace were odds on to go down that day and Trevor Francis' Brum beat us 2-1, and various other managers fielded u-21 sides to abet this "conspiracy". Some chump in the bookies was crying that they backed the 6/1 relegation odds rather a treble with the 3 unlikely wins that were required to relegate us, that paid roughly 15/1. Some people were in delayed shock and hadn't realised we were relegated until they were half way up Leeds Rd. Good old pre-twitter/smartphone days when important scores were relayed to ppl at the ground by someone with a portable am radio to their ear.
