the photos remind me of Sealed Knot events I went to as a child with my dad and brother. I remember I had my first doner kebab while watching a re-enactment of the Battle of Naseby.

I have memories of being taken to Tug of War competitions as a small child for some reason

there was cross-over, now I remember, in that there was a demonstration of a traction engine, the Victorian monster truck equivalent. That was pretty cool.

There is a stunt driver who lives down the road from me who must do lots of shows like this. He has this big red transit van with loads of action pics on it and my fave bit is "as featured in (straight to dvd cockney gangster pic) Hitman Reborn".

i can't decide if i am surprised or unsurprised that there is an audience for this in england. i was at a work conference a couple years ago and tired and hungover and decided i'd go watch cable in my hotel room for a while. i watched 4 episodes of lizard lick towing. it was amazing.
