The rise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has pretty much put the kibosh my burgeoning and belated adult interest in superhero comics. So "don't care and nauseous" for me.

I dunno. There's historical precedent of WB trying to offload DC, and I could maybe see that happening if their cinematic universe totally turfs out, and I'm sure Disney would happily make that purchase if the time came. A more realistic scenario might see WB going the Sony route and co-producing a crossover fillum. It'll definitely be after 2020 but definitely sometime before film production ends altogether because we're all more concerned with baseline survival in the globally warmed-over dystopia of 2035.

when it happens they will actually have so many characters on the screen at once that you watch the film in panoramic and two theatres are mushed together to make one theatre and foley artists will be making some of the sound effects live and an audience member at random will get his ass beat
