Oh, were you trying to shake my hand? I was just being drunked and pointing and laughing going "Enrique!!! In public!!! At an ILX thing!!!"

I'm On The Radio So I Don't Care!!!1! (kate), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:08 (nineteen years ago)

I ran into Anna and Suzy at the Scritti gig too! But not Jerry the Nipper. :(

marianna lcl (marianna lcl), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:19 (nineteen years ago)

Being a squatter veteran, Green probably thought it was piss on Jerry's hand.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:24 (nineteen years ago)

jeez, we were at the scritti thing on friday as well, can't believe i didn't see anyone else!

colette (a2lette), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:34 (nineteen years ago)

i was going to go to the scritti thing but didn't; i was also going to go to the shimura gig but didn't! so many impromptu sighting chances missed.

The Lex (The Lex), Monday, 7 August 2006 09:35 (nineteen years ago)

I'm not sure if going to see a band with ILxOrs in counts as inpromptu.

Pete (Pete), Monday, 7 August 2006 11:10 (nineteen years ago)

saw matt dc walking down rosebery ave yesterday. he was bopping along with headphones, so decided against shouting at him from the bus.

colette (a2lette), Friday, 18 August 2006 08:48 (nineteen years ago)

marianna, at archway, from the bus, earlier this week, looking sort of business like

now, another one, has popped into my head, that im not sure of, because i was hungover, and in a daze...but...im wondering if i saw alasdair maclean on the tube, wearing....SUNGLASSES, and reading....THE DAILY SPORT. can this really be true?

-- (688), Friday, 18 August 2006 08:50 (nineteen years ago)

I would've hurled abuse at him, safe in the knowledge that he wouldn't hear. (xpost)

Konal Doddz (blueski), Friday, 18 August 2006 08:50 (nineteen years ago)

alasdair maclean ?

Bashment Jakes (Enrique), Friday, 18 August 2006 09:01 (nineteen years ago)

author of 'the guns of navarone'?

Bashment Jakes (Enrique), Friday, 18 August 2006 09:02 (nineteen years ago)

Clientele vocalist

Konal Doddz (blueski), Friday, 18 August 2006 09:05 (nineteen years ago)

He always "takes" the Sport, AFAIK. The lyrics to "Losing Haringey" are lifted entirely from the letters page.

I saw Bri4n Bl3ss3d yesterday, but I don't think that counts - he only posted once on that Scritti Politti thread and I think he was lost.

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:14 (nineteen years ago)

oh, it actually was him? it seemed strange, to be wearing sunglasses underground at 8am

Bashment Jakes (Enrique), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:32 (nineteen years ago)

He was wearing sunnies so he wouldn't be recognised clearly. Post Lake House their fame has soared.

AlisDAIR not Where Eagles DARE.

Pete (Pete), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:34 (nineteen years ago)

I think Michael is lying two times.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Friday, 18 August 2006 10:48 (nineteen years ago)

BEEP BEEP

The JB Horns (mark grout), Friday, 18 August 2006 11:36 (nineteen years ago)

two weeks pass...
Ktee who never posts here anymore but anyway said hello to me in Sister Ray, Saturday afternoon. For the record, the CDs I was buying were Stereopathetic Soul Manure by Beck and A Strangely Isolated Place by Ulrich Schnauss.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Monday, 4 September 2006 09:11 (nineteen years ago)

four weeks pass...
Did I, in a moon-brained daze, see and completely blank Mr Carsmile on Holloway Road on Saturday afternoon?

That's my fear.

Nicholas Passant (Nicholas Passant), Monday, 2 October 2006 11:15 (nineteen years ago)

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 20 November 2006 16:44 (nineteen years ago)

I was gearing myself up for gruesome sights in the museum at the Royal College of Surgeons - well worth a visit!

Matt dresses very smart for work

Vicky (Vicky), Monday, 20 November 2006 16:56 (nineteen years ago)

Is that open again? It'd been closed for ages and ages!

Breaking Under The Crush (kate), Monday, 20 November 2006 16:57 (nineteen years ago)

More information on grusome sights please.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 20 November 2006 17:04 (nineteen years ago)

They closed for a refurb but it's open again. It's got a cool gallery which is double height full of glass bottles with specimens in, lit so that it looks really sparkly and glitzy.

Matt if you want to go and see what STDs and pickling can do to a man's pride and joy then that's your museum. I just had a look at their website and 25% of the museum collection on the catalogue has a picture, so you don't even need to go to the museum! http://surgicat.rcseng.ac.uk/detail.aspx?parentpriref= to see a pickled foot. (actually I'm not sure if there's any tissue on that one, so it might not be pickled)

Vicky (Vicky), Monday, 20 November 2006 17:17 (nineteen years ago)

I know what's in it! Joe's mum used to curate it! But it was closed for the entire duration of our relationship or I would have got the best insider tour ever. :-(

Breaking Under The Crush (kate), Monday, 20 November 2006 17:19 (nineteen years ago)

Tom Ewing and I conversed on the Victoria Line last week.

ian, Sunday, 22 April 2007 14:22 (nineteen years ago)

jessie beat me to it in mentioning this, probably because she is a better ILXor than I am. We bonded over BLOOD DIAMONDS. It was nice to meet you!

call all destroyer, Sunday, 22 April 2007 21:42 (nineteen years ago)

I saw Robster on the escalators in Waterloo station this morning.

ailsa, Sunday, 22 April 2007 22:03 (nineteen years ago)

What RJG's slight post up there does not cover is that Harry's Bar is the one in Paris, and I wa sthere just for the weekend. Therefore the odds of accidentally bumping into each other has to be no smaller than 10,000 - 1 and considerably higher. Except it wa sin a bar. Which makes that go down to about 2-1 for ILXors.

Met Cathy too who is great!

Pete, Monday, 23 April 2007 10:08 (nineteen years ago)

that's true, actually!

RJG, Monday, 23 April 2007 10:17 (nineteen years ago)

as is this:

Cheeta celebrated his 75th birthday on April 9th, 2007 in Palm Springs at his "Casa de Cheeta", hosted by Dan Westfall and Diane Weissmuller, (Johnny Weissmuller, Jr.'s widow). Many Palm Spring celebrities and press attended.
