― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 03:20 (sixteen years ago)
Yeah we can that tomorrow. 10/2 sounds good but we can always play it by ear too in case something comes up for someone.
― \(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Wednesday, 23 September 2009 03:21 (sixteen years ago)
sounds good
― mark cl, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 03:22 (sixteen years ago)
I believe Brighton begins around the Washington Street T Stop on the B line, because the Whole Foods right there has its address in Brighton. I actually used to live a couple years ago on a street that bordered Brookline, Allston, and Brighton (I'm now living closer to Brigton Center.)
Mark - are you going to Simmons for GSLIS by chance?
― Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:15 (sixteen years ago)

― mark cl, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:25 (sixteen years ago)

of my two intro classes this semester one of them is both really easy and really interesting (the 488 tech requirement), the other is interesting but professor assigns reading overload (415 info org)
― mark cl, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:32 (sixteen years ago)
whoa glad 488 is interesting for you it was a snooze when i took it. who is your 415 prof?
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:34 (sixteen years ago)
candy schwartz
― mark cl, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:35 (sixteen years ago)
good to know--415 is one of the required ones i still have to take.
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:37 (sixteen years ago)
yea there's kind of a lot of work. she's really enthusiastic and makes the material pretty interesting, but it's a really big commitment. i'm sure i'll be happy that i did it but right now as my first time back in school since undergrad, i'm feeling pretty overwhelmed. one of those classes that just hangs over your head b.c there's so much shit to do for it
― mark cl, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:40 (sixteen years ago)
michael, you and your gf should come to the fap
― mark cl, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:42 (sixteen years ago)
hold on, hold on it's an ILX BOSTON FAP - Friday, 10/2/09
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 17:48 (sixteen years ago)
Candy Schwartz is THE class to take if you are serious about cataloging. I think nearly everyone I know who has taken her class has said something along the lines of what Mark said above.
Are y'all doing the history double major or the archives concentration?
Back on topic: Has Espresso Royale near BU turned into a Panera? I did not hear any fanfare about that closing at all, and I've known a few people who worked there.
I also noticed the wine shop "Best Cellars" in Brookline changed their name. I'm going to miss that awful pun.
― Michael F Gill, Thursday, 24 September 2009 00:06 (sixteen years ago)
espresso royale--not to my knowledge! that would be awful....going to have to drive by and check.
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 24 September 2009 00:09 (sixteen years ago)
I think espresso royale is still espresso royale.
― \(^o\) (/o^)/ (ENBB), Thursday, 24 September 2009 00:28 (sixteen years ago)

Joanna Newsom is playing the Sanders Theater next month! I have tickets! I am excited!
BUT: The show is on St. Patrick's Day.
Is this gonna present a problem getting in / out of the city? I SUSPECT SO.
― elmo leonard (elmo argonaut), Tuesday, 23 February 2010 15:30 (sixteen years ago)
I would expect massive droves of young drunk people clogging up the T
― Jack the Dude-Kicker (HI DERE), Tuesday, 23 February 2010 15:35 (sixteen years ago)
any tips? i'm really clueless getting around boston and want to have a good attack plan / exit strategy. sanders theatre is in cambridge, yes?
― elmo leonard (elmo argonaut), Tuesday, 23 February 2010 15:47 (sixteen years ago)
Yeah, it's on the Harvard campus next to the Science Center; red line to Harvard and walking through the yard is the easiest way to get there once you get off of the T (if you're coming up via bus or train, you'll be coming into South Station which is already on the red line so navigating to and from Harvard Square shouldn't be an issue).
Since you won't have to switch trains, all you'll really have to contend with is crowded trains, and even then depending on when you're traveling it won't be that bad, so I wouldn't stress about it.
― Jack the Dude-Kicker (HI DERE), Tuesday, 23 February 2010 16:03 (sixteen years ago)
yeah should be fine unless you have like a religious objection to drunks
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 23 February 2010 16:04 (sixteen years ago)

― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 23 February 2010 16:05 (sixteen years ago)
Yes. It's a fucking awesome place to perform.
― Jack the Dude-Kicker (HI DERE), Tuesday, 23 February 2010 16:06 (sixteen years ago)
I should get a ticket.
― ksh, Tuesday, 23 February 2010 16:06 (sixteen years ago)
(the acoustics are clear enough that you aren't drowned in reverb like in an echoey cathedral and you can really HEAR what everyone around you is doing, but the sound blends very well out in the audience)
― Jack the Dude-Kicker (HI DERE), Tuesday, 23 February 2010 16:07 (sixteen years ago)
Ticket Availabilty: This event is SOLD OUT
